Lol!! Hold my 🍺.
.@NASCAR has called for a settlement: "Following the hearing, one of 23XI’s owners stated, 'We’ve always been open to a settlement. Always have been.' .. This is an area where the parties are actually in full agreement. NASCAR would also like to resolve this case prior to trial."

Bob has info you need about the Gold Codes (NASCAR's contingency plan to field its own Cup teams and cars if teams boycotted events). One other thing I found interesting in the 23XI/FRM motion to dismiss the counterclaim: Messages reveal that a NASCAR executive (I believe it's

@saerehart @bobpockrass Obviously not. But them even having plans for this stuff suggests that they knew how bad the deal was and wanted to take away any chance of a boycott for negotiation purposes, they were gonna force them to sign an unfavorable document by taking away protest options.

And this was the personnel budget if NASCAR owned all the teams that was part of a working contingency plan/discussion of options if the teams left. This plan was part of the 23XI/FRM filing last night. The full presentation was 32 pages. (5/5)
