SVG has now been released from the care center, so he should be good to go for the race tomorrow.

Zilisch says this is the first time he's ever raced SVG and didn't know SVG would be that aggressive about it. Thought they'd have a cleaner battle. So now he knows. The tl;dr here for Zilisch is "Noted.".

Here's what Connor Zilisch said when I asked about his interpretation of the move:. "I wouldn't consider it dirty at all. I could have just done a better job keeping leverage, but I let him get a nose ahead of me, and at that point, it's his corner and he can do what he wants to.

SVG says this is a "very, very tough" and "treacherous" track with the heat. He says he hit the wall three times on his qual lap and doesn't fault anyone who crashed bc the margin for error is so small and you have to be so accurate. The cars were one second off of last year's.
