I hope you got your answer from "Grok" - an unbiased scholar! Before calling anyone bias, it is good to read, listen, understand and then form an opinion. Forming an opinion before reading and understanding is not advisable.

I agree with your point, @surjitbhalla, on the Model BIT. But, unfortunately you make technical errors in describing it. There is nothing called 'Indian court arbitration'. You also make an error in explaining the local remedies rule. The Model BIT requires the foreign (1). .
The Indian "system" (Deep State) is in a deep slumber comfort zone-non economic reforms popular and doable, but economic reforms come with political risk The good news-Trump Tariffs mean a chance at redemption. Unlikely that India will mess this one up !

On the contrary, we should be fighting a spirited battle to save the multilateral trading order that the WTO characterizes. President Trump is anyway determined to finish it.
