The question remains - Which court - China or india - will dispute resolution go to ?.
1) FTAs are subject to WTO rules and both parties accept its dispute settlement procedures. (2) It's the Europeans who want separate BITs and FTAs, so no harm in separating them, if it helps speed up the FTA?.

So india is willing to sign an FTA with China ? How long will that take ? Faster or slower than an FTA with US Europe UK ?.

If there is a dispute in the partners, will the resolution go to an Indian court or Chinese court? 🙂 Note that the recently concluded treaty with UK pushed the BITS can into 2026. Policy, not charity, begins at home.

My views different than the Deep State. Trade deal with US is in our best interests; we have highest tariffs (protecting large farmers & major industrialists, NOT aam aurat); Trump did not intervene but helped facilitate cease-fire? India-US have shared values, not Russia-China.
What Trump's 25% tariff decision reveals about India's trade vulnerabilities & what our nation's economic policies reflect—Economist Surjit Bhalla @surjitbhalla explains in ThePrint #WorldView Consulting Editor (Int'l & Strategic Affairs) @swasrao.

In all of this a a little noticed fact - Root bowled normal - genuine sportsman.
Yes, @benstokes38 is a great player but a sore loser! Why should Indian batsmen accept a draw when they are just short of milestone tons? Would England have not batted on in a similar situation? Sorry Mr Stokes, this isn’t an Indian team that will bend so easily! The Raj is long.

Would be interesting to compare and add China plus Russian involvement since the multipolar world started in 2000 - Hope that in the interests of full disclosure China publishes that info; and also how much of the debt of poor nations is Chinese.

Most enjoyable eminar with excellent questions. Everybody has ideology. But the way we are using it has radically changed around the now polarized world - and is problematical. I illustrate with the narrative about an imminent recession in the US, & job growth in India.
How do narratives & ideology shape economic policy in the US and India? Watch @surjitbhalla, Montek Singh Ahluwalia & @laveeshbhandari unpack facts vs. spin at @CSEP_Org's latest seminar. Full video: . #politicaldiscourse #USA #India
