I’m a chief officer of the BMA. This is not an official award, and if it was I would have objected. This is the first I’ve heard of it. Agree with other sentiments expressed.
@HelenRSalisbury
Yeah Helen. I see this a lot. We accept direct refs from physios who usually are reliable at calling red flag neurology signs. SIGNS….which take training and experience. Not symptoms.

2/2 99.9% of headaches are benign. Hardly anyone with headaches needs a scan. 95% of the HEALTHY NORMAL population get headaches. Open access self referral for a neurology opinion or scans? Both specialties grind to a halt in weeks

6 of 627 Covid cases in 🏴 today in Monmouthshire-they are a ‘good’ 6-why?
All were identified as contacts of earlier cases & had self-isolated through incubation & now infectious period - no onward transmission - great contact tracing & following the rules will beat the virus

Functional symptoms: your brain muscles spine and nervous system, arms legs and balance all seem fine. But like an orchestra out of tune, put all the good bits together and it goes a bit wonky (car engines likewise). It needs retuning….

Thankyou. It’s actually quite rare. Since I started using it more, to patients and colleagues, I feel better about myself. And try saying Thankyou without smiling. It’s quite tricky. ‘Thankyou for waiting’ is so much more positive than ‘I’m sorry I’m running late...’
