Last week, our officer team gave evidence to the Public Audit Committee on the 2018 contract. @ChrisProv22 described the outdated GP IT equipment, hampering the ability of GPs and their teams to deliver care, and called for e-prescribing to be finally delivered.

In giving evidence to the Public Audit Committee, @ChrisProv22 was asked about access. GPs are as frustrated as patients by barriers to access, but promises of better access are unlikely to be met safely unless capacity in general practice is significantly expanded.

Thanks to @TheScotsman for covering the evidence our officers gave to the Public Audit Committee. GPs and teams need IT that works quickly and communicates well with other parts of the health system, freeing up time to be spent with patients.
