This poll contains a bomb. The headline everyone will chase is Reform gaining 12 points since the general election. That's not the story. The story is this: the Conservatives have only dropped three points. Three points. Look at the weekly and monthly trackers since July

🚨BREAKING: The Electoral Commission has said the May elections should go ahead as planned and that capacity issues linked to local government reform are not a valid reason for postponement 🇬🇧 Keir Starmer will be FURIOUS, even the electoral commission knows this is nonsense❗️

Why are Labour MPs telling bald-faced lies about this? Students could go to Italy (and, indeed, to any EU and Erasmus+ country) with the Turing scheme. Thousands did. It literally opened up the opportunity to study anywhere in the world, not just the EU and associated countries.
Studying in Italy was one of the best things I did when I was younger. But under the Tories, young people were denied this opportunity when they scrapped the Erasmus scheme. Under Labour, the UK is rejoining Erasmus giving students the chance to study or train abroad.

If you believe it’s ok that 10 year old little girls want police escorts to Hanukkah parties, then you have no place in our British society. I don’t care where you were born, what colour or creed you are or what God (or none) you pray to. I am ashamed of the U.K.

There’s a lot of propaganda surrounding farming at the moment, although farming is of course an essential pillar of society, it is the working class in general that have our collective and deepest respect. Those who work and contribute without recognition and despite a

Imagine how much better Britain would be without these two wreaking havoc and destruction. As this year comes to its climax, let's hope that the New Year sees them consigned to history. It really would be a massive reset for the country and its capital city.

No. Labour inherited a lot of debt in July 2024 because of massive spending during the pandemic — which Labour supported, indeed it wanted more — and post-Ukraine invasion energy subsidies — which Labour supported, indeed it wanted more. The pandemic is no more and energy prices

The government is set to pay £840 million a year for membership of Erasmus once the first-year discount ends. This is more than 10% of the entire £7.5 billion budget that the government spends on British universities per year. Truly the worst negotiators in history.

I worked in Erasmus for the Commission. It was massively loaded against the UK. This is a huge mistake,
@Rosessolutions Here's a good place to start. £105 million was spent on Turing in the 2024/25 academic year, and helped fund over 43,000 student placements for British students. The Erasmus scheme on average saw around 15,000 British students a year, and cost the UK between £200-300 million

The numbers in this must be wrong. It suggests hard pressed UK taxpayers will pay £570m for one year of Erasmus?! Turing - which helps more UK students - costs little more than £100m. If the numbers are correct this is a terrible deal at a time when apparently there is no money.
