1/ I've spent the last 6 yrs investigating serial sexual abuse and the power structures that enable it for a doc film I’m directing, while standing against abuse within the photo industry. Given the recent ethical failings of a prominent photog and his agency, I have thoughts.

Absolutely speechless reading this 11,000 word bombshell by @kristenchick , an incredible champion of accountability in the photojournalism world. Rampant, disgusting abuse by @davidalanharvey , dutifully ignored & enabled by @MagnumPhotos . Damning.

2/ When I wrote this article in 2017, I did so with a number of predatory photographers in mind. No 1 on that list is now under fire for taking photos of an alleged child rape victim (‘prostitute’) in Thailand - David Alan Harvey.

12/ There is 0% chance that folks at @magnumphotos have been blissfully unaware of his reputation for decades. I want it to be extremely clear that it will be a lie, and a blatant slap in the face to his victims if they say they didn't know when this inevitably gets unearthed.

13/ The complicity & silent on-looking across the industry has directly enabled the pain & trauma of women. Careers lost to the fallout and damage it does to women’s aspirations. This is why I wrote this article in 2017. Welcome, we’ve come full circle.

@drakeycake @duckrabbitblog I'm not drawing lines or taking sides here, Carolyn, despite that being the appealing narrative for you. I want to see genuine change and responsibility taken. I have seen a crisis management response, and zero acknowledgement of complicity/enablement on Magnum's behalf.

I've agonised for days over this and chatting to my wife has made me realise it's not good to keep quiet, especially given my personal experience. This will be a long and ugly thread I'm afraid about the exploitation of children by those who should know better.

Proud to be shortlisted for the Marilyn Stafford Fotoreportage Award, and to be amongst the company of so many talented women photographers.

@NikonUSA representatives were aware of a report of assault at the @EAWorkshop , along with a faculty member taking nude photos of a student. This is complicity. Does Nikon have anything to say about this?

So The British Journal of Photography sold out its twitter account with 250000 followers into a NFT marketing account called 'art3'. They started a new account for photography. Which has 836 followers. And in doing so destroyed their reputation and reach.

@duckrabbitblog White dudes 1000% need this more, but they can/should pay the $30. I think the goal here was to make the course more accessible without a fee being a prohibitive factor.
