Really excited to share that our work on restorative justice has been funded by @GreenwallFdn ! Excited to work with Gina Campelia as co-PI and the Office of Healthcare Equity! @UWbioethics @UWDeptMedicine @uwpccm
Crystal Brown of @UW will "assess...how...restorative justice [practices] should be implemented in healthcare settings in response to medical racism," using findings to “inform normative analyses of whether and how broader implementation in healthcare should be considered."

The Amos retreat is my favorite meeting to go to every year. I’m feeling inspired and re-invigorated after seeing the incredible work fellow and former scholars are achieving! Great food never hurts too!
Another year celebrating with, learning from, and being inspired by an incredibly group of scientists I get to call family. 🤎 Until next year, friends. ✨ cc @monstrillious

1/ NEW 📝 in @JournalGIM. Using data from our REACH-AF cohort, we asked: is there variation in anticoagulation prescribing for #AFib in VA facilities across the country, and if so, are there racial differences in 💊 prescribing? Here’s what we found. 👇🏾 https://t.co/vXo16PiXBe

Read the @JAMAInternalMed Original Investigation, “Officer-Involved Killings of Unarmed Black People and Racial Disparities in Sleep Health,” covered by @NYTHealth in this article. https://t.co/eLKvUQKflM
Black people in the U.S. were far more likely to report harmfully low sleep in the months after a killing compared with white people surveyed during that time.
