For the handbook: if there’s any way you can avoid going to the dead person’s home to clear out their stuff then avoid, avoid, avoid. It’s really Not Good.

I wish there was a “navigating emotions when an abusive family member you’d cut contact with dies suddenly” handbook.

Er, no. This is a legally correct ruling. A person with the protected characteristic of gender reassignment, which includes non-binary as set out in Taylor v Jaguar and accepted in Re AA, forced into a cis-normative straight jacket is clearly being discriminated against.

This is a legally illiterate ruling. The "nonbinary" customer has been treated in exactly the same way as every other customer, in being asked his or (as the case may be) her sex. There is no credible basis on which that could be said to be direct discrimination.

"Gender-critical views" is a nonsense term that transphobes came up with, so they could get the UK legal system to legally codify transphobia as "a protected belief." All you have to do is ask GC people to say how GCism is different from transphobia, in practice. Examples? 1/

They are going to continue singling out trans women in public facing roles one by one until we no longer exist. This is not about fairness, it's just bigotry. This woman has been on the team 3 years with no issues until the media latched onto her as a target.

Jessica Norton's family has challenged anti-trans laws in Florida. Her trans daughter's school records were raided by armed police after she was accepted by the volleyball team. Now, they need to flee. I don't do GFM posts on here, but if anyone deserves it, it's this family.

‘Underground transgender mafia’ is a great name for a metal band. A great name for Truss is perhaps best left unsaid

We’re not opposing Starmer on welfare and benefits because we’re ‘not giving Labour a chance.’ We’re opposing him because he hasn’t shown a single sign of changing the harsh, evidence-free sanctions regime that’s contributed to the untimely deaths of many people we care about.

"Gender Critical" nurses feel "ostracised, dehumanised", from being given a special "GC changing room" to change in. What they wanted was the trans nurse to be ostracised and dehumanised, but that didn't happen so they're upset

the whole idea that small fees are an influence on behaviour quite obviously only applies to people for whom small fees aren't actually small fees, but a significant financial deterrent. be more honest to say you believe 'we need to make poor people go to their gp less.'

The "damage to survivors" the headline refers to is Mridul Wadhwa being trans. That's it. She caused "damage" by existing as a trans woman. Nothing else. There was no abuse from Mridul to anyone.

I wonder how many lives would be saved if mental health services learned to recognise the subtle signs of an impending suicide. Y'know, like, when someone goes to them for help & says "I feel suicidal" or "I want to die" or "I'm going to kill myself".. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay
