Hey there #COVIDisNotOver friends. My wife @mchristinebd and I put our heads together and made a flier about basic COVID-19 precautions - particularly for small events/gatherings. All the icons and entire flier are CC0/public domain/free to use: https://t.co/mt1in24cHQ 🧵1/2

For the billionth time: Most of the 'symptoms' of an infection (fever cough tiredness etc) are your body fighting the infection. The later symptoms are the work of the actual pathogen… and they're the ones that your body is trying to prevent.

I really truly thought after 5 years we would have something .. anything. The more time goes by, the more it feels like there won’t be anything. No help, no cure, no mitigations, no clean air

Children face double the risk of Long COVID following SARS-CoV-2 reinfection. Results from a large study of >400,000 children showing increased risk of cardiac damage, mental health, and other symptoms. Reducing the number of reinfections is critical

We Protected Our Children By Homeschooling During COVID, And The Science Proves We Were Right I’ve had it with the gaslighting. For years, those of us who chose to homeschool during the pandemic were labeled paranoid. Overprotective. Helicopter parents overreacting to what

Nobody has Long COVID, but everybody has brain fog, cognitive decline and memory loss. I talk about the overwhelming scientific evidence that COVID damages the brain, and the overwhelming social unwillingness to acknowledge it in my latest: https://t.co/BghgCOOc16

Joking memes make light of the uncomfortable reality: everyone's got a little of that post-COVID brain damage these days

5 years ago today, I was a happy, healthy 34 year old. I had the rest of my life ahead of me, a career. Today, like millions of others, I’ve been disabled by COVID-19 bc of the logic of the GBD. I am homebound & can’t stand in the shower. May your words return to you 1,000 times.
Five years ago today, we authored the Great Barrington Declaration, arguing for focused protection instead of lockdowns. A wholehearted thank you to the almost one million co-signers. We were proven right. https://t.co/07nispEI2u

If you are still COVIDing and could use some emotional support, I host weekly workshops and community sessions. We learn, we grieve, we rage, and we process. You don't have to do this alone.
If you’re still COVIDing and doing well mentally and emotionally, what have you been doing that’s working for you?

The study examines measles but I believe the principles are super-useful for COVID transmission. @tferriss can you talk about that at some point? The pursuit of total-body health is degraded by repeated COVID infections, but we can clean air/wear a mask!

I love that @tferriss and James Nestor talk about CO2 monitors like @aranet_home including at hotels. Not sure if they know about https://t.co/F8vzXDPalf that is already doing this. SO CLOSE but skipping how CO2 levels are a proxy for disease transmission:

#LongCovid is the most common chronic condition among children, and cumulative risk increases with each reinfection.
New study in The Lancet Infectious Disease analyzing 460,000 patients across 40 US hospitals found that children’s risk of developing LongCOVID more than doubled upon reinfection, with no significant variation by vaccination status.
