Some photos from our visit to Forks Township Fire Dept in Northampton County, PA. Our 2nd time here and much improved weather than the 2019 visit allowed us to get these superb photos with the highlight again being 2018 Spartan Gladiator heavy rescue and the new Tower 🚒📷🇺🇸

Whilst on our trip to the USA earlier this month we were lucky to be able to visit @BWIFire in Maryland to photograph their fleet of stunning Oshkosh Strikers. Big thanks go to the amazing crew for allowing the visit, their hospitality and time whilst we were there.

People ask why I keep returning to the USA to take fire engine photos…..here is my answer…..as they are all different colours and liveries particularly in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Although all different colours I have chosen 4 made by @PierceMfg.

For every plane there needs to be ARFF.... the crash line-up at @BWI_Airport includes these 4 @AirportProducts Strikers in an attractive red and white contrasting with @SouthwestAir blue red and orange! Thanks to @BWIfire for their hospitality! #USARoadtrip23

Following our trip to the USA over this past week we photographed so many stand out trucks from many departments with a total of 47 fire departments visited. Two stand out old school trucks of the trip were these two vehicles a Kenworth Rescue and this Peterbilt Engine.

This has to be one of my favourite pictures that I have taken. Taken at Citizens Fire Co, Charles Town in West Virginia was this 2016 Smeal Sirius 105’ rear mount.

It’s been a long day of travelling but we managed to visit 3 departments in Pennsylvania this afternoon and got a variety of trucks with the cream of the selection being these. More to follow over the next week.

Whilst visiting a number of @WestSussexFire stations yesterday we managed to photograph both Water Carriers and both Aerial Ladder Platforms that the service operate. Both WrC’s were on @VolvoTrucksUK chassis and the ALP’s were @ScaniaUK with the newer ALP built by @Angloco.

A few photos from a incident not to far from home this evening, this field fire was initially attended by crews from Haverhill & Clare from @SuffolkFire who requested further appliances from Wickhambrook and Sawston with the latter being stood down prior to there arrival. 🔥🚒📷

We await a reply from the DfT as to whether aviation firefighters will receive this medal or be snubbed again as we were for the last jubilee medal @GOVUK
Perhaps those attending the coronation tomorrow could tell the King that a newly appointed service person or responder warrants the medal as much as someone with 5-years in. They face the same risk with less experience. Surely we should respect that. What we tolerate, we endorse

Back in 2011 when @GatwickFRS first got their first 3 @RosenbauerGroup Panthers they were in this great red and silver livery. They didn’t stay like this for long before they were given the battenburg treatment.
