This occurs not via direct recognition of antigen by MHC-I or-II but by increasing microglia activation and their phagocytic potential. So finding ways such as anti-CTLA4 to promote CD4 T cell responses could be beneficial to controlling glioblastoma, one of the deadliest tumor.

We found that the CD4+ T cell driven IFN-gamma but not CD8 T cells inhibits glioblastoma mainly more stem-like glioma ( although more differentiated and mutagenic glioma do respond to CD8+ T cells).
