Imagine a government is opposed to how certain people are using Bitcoin. In response, it establishes its own bitcoin node software, launches a mining pool, and introduces a soft fork. It claims resisting this fork is supporting illegal activity. Would you support this soft fork?

@CarlosJackkal I think the fact knots folks are talking about a soft fork, and BIP444 was the best they could come up with, is a major red flag, and an intent to mess with consensus. I don't think anyone serious can read that BIP and come out believing that is a good result for Bitcoin.

The next phase of this debate is where things get interesting. Knots rhetoric has progressed from structured principled debate, to material only seen within insane asylums. The smart ones will continue principled debate, but will realise the knots solution, is a retarded one.

There is a point coming, relatively soon, where you will see the smart ones start to realise they should distance themselves from the Knots machine. They will hold the line on spam, filters and the like, but they will distance themselves from association with knots and sons.
