100 months since we lost our 72 loved ones in the Grenfell fire. Still no justice. As the Tower fades from the skyline, please keep Grenfell in your hearts. We will never forget — and we will not stop until justice is done.

Lee Castleton muses on the devastating impact of the obstacles and delays which are deliberately embedded in the Post Office redress schemes. Dignified & eloquent to the last, he explains his own unfinished battle to clear his name. Unmissable. https://t.co/Adm2cyPY7j

Can’t begin to fully express my disquiet as them bastarding a phrase first widely used to express distress during rioting. The original phrase is Burn Baby Burn. And this department really did allow babies to be burned. So all in all I am not a big fan of this grotesque slogan…

TOP TIP: don't try to defame my "relentless but not vexatious" (the ORR's words, not mine) friend @Doug_Paulley when you've completely failed in your duties to provide at least an attempt at an accessible travel experience. He'll win.

Important to note that @Doug_Paulley represented himself in this libel case - winning in open court without a solicitor or even cost protection. It is a warning to the whole industry on the toxic culture around transport accessibility @northernassist @Tyrerscoaches

Apart from the lies exposed by the formidable @Doug_Paulley this must read article sets out the truly grim culture still present within the rail industry regarding rail accessibility. Trust me, you don't have to look very hard to find numerous failings. https://t.co/YnTWwHrCY1

A coach operator that passed on defamatory lies about a well-known disabled activist who exposed the inaccessibility of one of its coaches will have to pay him substantial damages, and make a humil…

For disabled passengers like @KateStanforth Britain’s railways are not fit for purpose Access failures, broken lifts to missing ramps, wheelchair users are too often left frustrated, stranded, anxious + unsafe when attempting to travel by train

Response to the experience of Covid 19 calls amongst other things for improved ventilation in hospital buildings.
As Covid rates surge once more here in the UK, here’s a timely reminder of some of the recommendations from the expert witnesses who testified at the Covid Inquiry about what we *should* be doing to reduce airborne transmission in hospitals…

“It is too expensive to bring water companies back into public ownership”. Really? Read on.. https://t.co/oekhE2Am55

The Government has said it would cost £99 billion to nationalise Thames Water. The true cost in law is closer to zero.

The government stated it has "an unwavering commitment to improving (rail) accessibility." Really? One year into CP7, we still await a decision on the 50 stations to be awarded 'Access for All' £. Actions speak louder than words. @LordPeterHendy @Heidi_Labour @Keir_Starmer

This, to put it mildly, is not good customer service. I hope this is not a sign of things to come on a fully publicly owned railway. Over to you @LNER 15/15

It should be Arrival to Arrival or Departure to Departure. In this case, the gain to LNER (and loss to us) due to their 1-minute 'adjustment' is £67.50. Times this by the 100's of other delay repay claims and the benefit to LNER will run into many thousands of pounds. 14/15

So @LNER has worked out the 59-minute delay by using the timetabled DEPARTURE time of our booked train at #Biggleswade and the ARRIVAL time of our actual train! LNER can't have it both ways - it has to be one or the other, not mix and match to shave off that vital minute. 13/15

So the arrival time at Biggleswade of my original train would be 17:18:00 or 17:18:30, with a departure time (as per the public timetable) of 17:19:00 - and checking @OnTimeTrains this was the case & it was the same with our actual train & many other arrivals that day... 12/15
