we're sad to move on from Cobot, but excited for what's to come as we keep on building I shared this note with our investors:

@jsngr Curious: wasn't the problems that come with building a horizontal product obvious when you were starting? had the same problem hence asking why you kept on

@gm_mertd the problems are apparent in the beginning, but more obvious in hindsight. but in the moment the ambition and challenge is what keeps you going

@jsngr It was a beautiful product but I’m now wondering if focusing on visual polish before finding direction was the right thing to do. Also the decision to have test flight behind the pay wall with no apple pay (had to pay on the website) was what stopped me from even trying.

@maxym3D certainly find your direction before visual polish. we had a direction but it was hoping a long term plan would play out it’s not to discount the importance of craft or quality

@jsngr Wondering why most of the comments are positive. This kinda sucks for anyone that was using it and now can’t anymore. Also majority saying how great or beautiful it was isn’t helping you to improve since that feedback isn’t a reflection of the truth (otherwise wouldn’t sunset).

@jsngr Sad to see Cobot go, but I know more amazing products are coming from you and the Mainframe team. Shutdown party on Nov 30 to celebrate Cobot?

@jsngr So sad, I love Cobot so much. I know this is like… a pie-in-the-sky ask, but any chance we could get a self-hostable version before the plug is pulled for good..?
