Data teams everywhere struggle with documentation. That's why I've built AutoDocs, the latest feature for @aggregationsio

We're working on a new feature for monitoring and exploring your analytics events. We need beta testers. It's really cool.

TBH I’ve met some brilliant engineers from big co, but they were EARLY there. Those who have no other experience cant cope in day to day eng. It’s not their fault. Meta, Google, etc have solved so many things with internal tools, observably, etc. Startups need scrappy.
From a CTO at a startup: "We interview devs by giving them a task to build an app on the spot, from scratch (2x BE endpoints, some frontend.) They can use AI, ofc - and we dig into why they did this or that. What is surprising: 14/15 devs from Meta failed this screening."

They can’t stay up and they can’t go down. Seriously what is wrong with Neon?
In the last 4-5 days I've noticed my @neondatabase usage to be extremely higher than normal, like x20 higher. No sudden traffic changes or no other significant changes across 3 projects. The DBs are not even scaling down automatically after inactivity. Is it just me, or?

For context, this company with no product or revenue is worth about the same as Delta Airlines—if they bought Southwest Airlines. This is beyond absurd.
NEW: Mira Murati's startup Thinking Machines Lab is in early talks to raise a new round of funding at a valuation of roughly $50 billion, more than 4x valuation from a few months ago. w/ @EdLudlow

Most breaking changes in 5 years. Still only took 10 minutes. I love #dotnet
Upgrading the entire Dometrain stack to .NET 10 took 10 minutes. By far the most breaking changes I've experienced after .NET 5's release.

This is like redis over http nonsense.
"distributed SQL" propaganda has messed with the industry so badly. Today I spoke to someone who is using one of the leading distributed SQL databases and their reads are 200ms. What has the world come to? that 2 orders of magnitude slower than any non-distributed database.

Unifi WifiMan is so fantastic. VPN to my house, not only do i get “local” treatment for streaming services - i don’t get pesky re-authorize requests because most sites just see me as being home. Also, free / built into my router. Highly recommend!

Another cool aspect of this architecture: We tolerate failures super well. Obviously the ingest layer is fallible, but also the simplest. Once we have a file on R2, we can re-ingest it, re-queue it, etc. Also, if for whatever reason we have errors in parsing, a separate
Started working with a client this spring to build them a *simple* data pipeline. Video game, very popular. 0 data before this. 1 analyst querying data. Initial scale up: - 30m events per day to 250 to 500 over the course of 2 weeks with a bug fix release in the middle.
