Most of these rag startups have to be doomed man, they’re just not doing anything interesting enough. I’m sorry to be the one to say it.

The new Kimi K2 Thinking model from @Kimi_Moonshot has been hyped lately as on par with SOTA closed-source models. We ran it on Vending-Bench and found no evidence for this claim.

truly incredible. the "RLed model loses to dumber but less consistent policy on 1000-choice problem when you give it 1024 independent attempts" paper has won over the entire field never die, pass@k slop
Thrilled that our paper received the only perfect score at NeurIPS this year. Huge thanks to my collaborators and the reviewers. See you in San Diego! https://t.co/HHTjelGU1Z

This is my avocado oil sprayer, the best new kitchen enhancement this year. I’m spraying oil left and right these days.

that's up to $420M a month on fucking Shaheds alone, 5 billion a year. They aren't very powerful, many get intercepted, and soon Ukrainians will improve interception rates. The grift is still immense. «Industrial phase» drone war would drive it to <$10k apiece.
Russia’s drone war has entered an industrial phase. Moscow now produces over 6,000 Shahed-type drones a month and can launch 700+ in a single night. Each costs as little as $20k–$70k, while intercepting one with a Patriot missile costs over $3 million. — CNN 1/

Maybe it really is over for Apple
Apple $AAPL today unveiled the iPhone Pocket "Inspired by the concept of “a piece of cloth,” its singular 3D-knitted construction is designed to fit any iPhone as well as all pocketable items" Apple is charging $149.95 for the short strap and $229.95 for the long strap design

Everything I’ve tried since has been too complicated or lacking the reflection with quotations capability. The code was fast too.

Later on we were able to deliver absolute magic with reflection based code. F# quotations made various types of reflection so much simpler than in C#.

I have to say my ~10 years in F# were the most productive of my life. The types were just enough to make illegal states go poof. With a team of three (myself included) we built a data processing platform in 3 months that replaced something janky 6 people took four years to build.

blue collar renaissance starts next year, I’d guess by 2027 the US will start giving H1Bs to electricians and plumbers as the average wage exceeds $300k at datacenter sites (this happened in Australia during the 2010s mining boom)
He is right CoreWeave has 2.9 GW of contracted power and only 20% is active (600MW) "Hard part is powershell"- Construction workers, electricians, plumbers, transformers, turbines, gensets etc everything is scarce

The kimi ama is a gold mine. Absolute banger. Its really hard to climb the scaling ladder and this often results in promising ideas not working out as well as expected when you scale. Many things you thought weren't related start to interfere. Also Its too expensive to ablate
