Facts. @DamianEdwards’s favorite word for this is “click-stops”. What’s the first click-stop for the steel thread we’re trying to build.
The ability to break large eng projects into *independently valuable* incremental steps is the most important skill for senior engineers to develop. Literally no one knows how to completely solve a large eng problem ahead of time. (shameless link to my own blog on this below).
