On a recent butterfly survey at Ganton. 11 different species were identified by our ecologist. Areas of Acid grassland throughout the course provided the highest abundance of butterflies.

The ninth hole at Ganton has been designed in partnership with Golf Course Architect, Martin Ebert. A newly exposed natural sand waste area must be cleared to reach the fairway, which has been contoured to give the player a clear site of the hole from an elevated tee.

My uncle Roy - A D-Day veteran. I always remember him around this time. He drove his Sherman tank ashore at around 2 p.m. on Sword Beach. The regiment was heavily engaged He was awarded the Legion D’Honneur on the 70th anniversary of D-Day
