I love this film from England, 1901. We’re close enough that it’s not just a crowd of people. You can see all the individual personalities of the children showing off, jostling their friends and pulling faces to the camera. It’s worth watching twice.

Waterloo Station in the 1930s. Note the porters hurrying to the first class coaches as the train arrives. Posters on the ticket barriers advertise summer tickets and day trips so this is probably pre-1939 as non-essential rail travel was restricted during the war.
