@hecubian_devil There’s an easy solution: instead of espousing yimbyism, espouse building public housing.

Folks like Neera Tanden, Ezra Klein, Matt Yglesias, etc got the Democratic Party they wanted — a party that stands for nothing other than satisfying the fluctuating whims of donors & media elites. That party created conditions for Trump’s ascent. They are not the people who will

The genocidal apartheid regime is once again raining down bombs across Gaza and calling it a “ceasefire.” They will never stop until there’s a total arms embargo and economic sanctions. The U.S. must stop the genocide.

You have blood on your hands. You will go down in history as complicit in genocide. That you aren’t hauled in front of The Hague is a miscarriage of justice. That you are allowed in polite society is an abomination. You are a war criminal and that cannot be undone.

(1/12) In Gaza today, the guns are largely silent. If all goes as planned, the remaining Israeli hostages will return home. Palestinians will get the relief they desperately need and deserve. Nothing can erase the pain and loss of the past two years. But there is real hope of

More than 70% of Democrats think Israel is committing genocide and 75% support sanctions. Pro Israel ideologues like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries can not be party leaders. It's over.

The DNC voted down a resolution this week in support of an arms embargo. Enabling genocide is alienating the majority of democrats who want the funding of war crimes to stop. Wake the fuck up!

Silicon Valley doesn’t “predict” the future. It picks the one it wants and then pours billions of dollars into making it happen. So when they say "AI will replace us", that’s not a helpful warning. It’s their business plan.

Maybe if Democrats spent weeks leading a mobilization effort against the bill -- a national strategy with rallies in key districts -- instead of having meltdowns about Zohran, I'd be a bit more enthusiastic about Jeffries's grand plan to... delay the vote until the afternoon.

I just forced Republicans to delete their ridiculous bill name. It’s no longer named the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” Nothing about this bill is beautiful—it’s a betrayal to American families, and it’s undeserving of such a stupid name.

In this piece we argue that conservative economics plays a role similar to how DuBois described the Dunning School of History in Black Reconstruction. Both use their authority to insist that capitalism is racially fair in deliberate, effective ways.
