“Bottom feeding” WSU has finished above Arizona every year since 2014.
“Bottom feeding” Oregon State won 10 games last year. Arizona won 10 games total over the last four seasons.
The Astros
A: Cheated.
B: Received a light slap on the wrist and did not have a single player suspended
C: Have thrown at the head of Mariner players twice in the last three years
D: Knocked the Mariners out of the playoffs
E: Cheated
Yeah, not big fans of the organization.
2023 likely going to be the last Apple Cup and Civil War for a long, long time.
A true shame what greed and inexplicable ineptitude within the Pac-12 has done.
Gardner Minshew is going to finish his rookie season with 21 TD's, 6 INT's and just under 3300 yards. Didn't play in two games, had no pass protection and very limited weapons on offense.
Seems decent.
I realize this is probably just in fun, but you won't find a Coug fan alive that is disregarding Luke. Before Minshew Mania took over last year, it was Falk who guided the Cougars back to the winning side of things. Nobody forgets that.
Andre Dillard had four offers out of high school. WSU, UI, PSU, EWU. Doesn’t even rank as one of WSU’s top 250 signings ever. Wasn’t even a top 500 recruit in the nation. In five days he’s gonna be a top 15 pick in the draft (at least). Stars and rankings aren’t everything.
You would be hard pressed to find a college player ever who had as much of an impact on their city in one yearthe way Gardner Minshew did. Not just in the football realm but in the culture realm as well. He became a god damn icon here.
“Losing this revenue would be devastating for UW and our student-athletes.”
And what do you think losing the Power Five revenue is going to do to Washington State and Oregon State?
I’d say the hypocrisy is astounding but at this point, it’s just so god damn predictable.
News: In sworn statement, UW prez Ana Mari Cauce indicates concern that WSU, OSU would take punitive measures vs 10 departing schools, cut off FY24 revenue:
Folks. The Washington State Cougars just walked into Camp Randall Stadium and beat the No. 18 Wisconsin Badgers.
Enjoy your Saturday evening. Go Cougs.
All I will say is that there is a reason WSU fans are frequently up in arms about the officiating, especially when it comes to anything and everything USC.
Hector Santiago has been suspended 10 more games for rosin and sweat than any Astro player did for cheating their way to a World Series.
Helluva job MLB. Helluva Job
Seattle Mariners pitcher Hector Santiago’s 10-game suspension for foreign-substance use has been upheld after an appeal, sources tell

and me. He will be the first — and, so far, only — player to miss time.
One. That is the number of decommitments Washington State had despite all that was working against them the last few months.
The work by Jake Dickert and the Cougar staff to hang on to almost its entire class is wildly impressive.
Okay WSU. Here’s the drill. We just swept the Arizona schools by double digits, the first team to do that since 1995. So. Next Saturday. 5:00. Beasley Coliseum. WSU-UW. Let’s pack Beasley like never before!!
@ZZUCRU
WSU and OSU’s approach to all of this will likely result in burning bridges with the 10 schools that used to be part of the Pac-12 and that are now part of 3 different major conferences.
These schools will likely not schedule them going forward if they continue the path of
I remember this same discourse when UW was in the CFP in 2016.
Husky fans mock WSU every chance they get. This year even moreso with the Mountain West and Big Sky jokes.
And now it’s suddenly some massive shock that Coug fans don’t want Washington to win?
How interesting that when it’s crushing Bama, UW and potentially Michigan, the transfer portal needs to be changed, the state of CFB isn’t good etc.
But when the blue bloods try to poach the likes of WSU and OSU and then leave those programs for dead, it’s perfectly fine.
Transfer portal needs to be fixed. This situation with Alabama will cause change.
Bama is penalized b/c they made the playoffs and Nick Saban retired afterward. The last team to make a change gets shafted in the portal.
There's simply no players left in the portal to
Can't remember the last time I saw as an impressive of a road win for WSU as that one. The execution was brilliant on every level. Coaches, players, everyone.
Go Cougs man.
Tore his ACL his final season of college. Got cut 14 times. Now has touchdowns in consecutive weeks and is officially on the 53-man roster.
What an incredible story Riv continues to be. Go Cougs.
Here, I’ll help.
Washington State, a perennial underdog
won 11 games in 2018.
Gardner Minshew become a national story for his charisma and play on the field and the Cougars ended up one missed targeting call away from the Rose Bowl.
Grant Taylor may have just twirled the greatest outing in
@wsucougarbsb
history. A complete game shutout with just one hit, no walks and yes, you are reading this correctly, 17 strikeouts.
The game was against Washington, just by the way.
Jeff Pollard elected to exit the transfer portal and return to WSU. He was the leader of a massively improved WSU basketball team. Jeff played his last game Wednesday with a broken finger. He left a game in January, went to the hospital and returned to play. A true warrior.
So many college and HS athletes saw their seasons, maybe their playing careers, just....end.
No send off, no nothing.
We want to fix that. Share their stories, photos & videos here. We should certainly have the room for some join the show. Let’s celebrate them

Jake Dickert just casually flipping a big time tight end prospect from Oregon. Huge get for his first commit as the permanent head coach at WSU.
Dollar is a straight up DUDE.
Ya know, I think I speak for everyone associated with Washington State and Oregon State when I say nobody cares about what the Departing-10 has to say.
All this and
WSU volleyball has made seven-straight NCAA Tournaments
Soccer made the College Cup in the last five years
Baseball is 10-1
Cheer has won consecutive national championships
Good stuff folks. Go Cougs.
WSU has ~ the lowest operating budget in the
#Pac12
(it's close with OSU), and yet:
FB: 7 wins
MBB: No. 5 seed
WBB: tourney champs
Pretty good pound-for-pound year for

Personal news: Last week I was given the opportunity to take an increased role working at Cougfan.
And as part of this increased role, I’ll be relocating back to Pullman.
Could not be more excited for this next chapter of my life and to find my way back home in mid-September.
FINAL:
@WSUCougarsVB
beats No. 6 Texas 3-1. Unbelievable. The Cougs just beat the defending National Champs on their own floor.
Argentina Ung with a monster day with five kills, 43 assists, seven digs and eight blocks. Remarkable.
This team. What’s left to say? Just wow.
Anxiety and depression are not weaknesses. They're an unfortunate part of life that many struggle with on a daily basis. I myself lost an entire semester at WSU because of both. My name is Jamey Vinnick. I will not stay silent.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that the commissioners and other conference leaders were caught completely off guard when WSU and OSU didn't just roll over and bow to their wishes.
The latest delay in a CFP format change - which needs unanimity - is a proposal from WSU president Kirk Schulz seeking guarantees of voting rights/revenue distribution for Pac-12/Pac-2 beyond 2025, sources tell
@YahooSports
.
It has been met with pushback.
@risingaction
So basically confirming what we all knew. Soucy is getting suspended not because of the cross-check, but because of who the cross-check was on.
WSU stomps UW 9-1 to take the final series of the year. Cougs finish the year 26-23.
Oh, and Washington State University defeats Washington to win the Boeing Apple Cup Series 160-155.
Go Cougs.
To sum up, here is what the departing Pac-12 schools are wary of with OSU and Wazzu in sole control of the conference.
The two will keep this year’s revenue distributions from the rest. Or at least some of it.
247 updated it's basketball recruiting rankings, and now all four Cougar signees are at least three stars, with Dishon Jackson being a 4 star. Gives them the 57th best class in the nation, the highest for WSU in a LOOOONG time.
Kyle Smith, ladies and gentlemen
People have this preconceived notion of Pullman.
It’s this, it’s that, it’s whatever.
I’ve lived here the better part of 10 years and I can tell you it’s only one thing.
Perfect.
Sometimes in life, you find yourself in that perfect moment.
I'm writing my final articles of spring football in the press box as the sun sets on football at Gesa Field until August.
And I just find myself smiling because all I'm thinking is...
Damn I love this place.
WSU started the season 1-3, had a team member get shot, lost five coaches midseason and still made a bowl.
The story is about the perseverance, not the record.
Oh and they snapped an eight year Apple Cup drought by embarrassing Washington at “The Greatest Setting.”
PERSONAL NEWS:
After thinking and reflecting a ton over my future the last couple of months, I have come to the realization that there may be a day for everyone to move on from Pullman.
But that day isn't today. Stoked to say I'll be running it back another year at
@CougfanCOM
!
I kid you not, this just happened.
There's some random guy outside the CUB yelling about how
"JESUS SAVES"
Kid walks by and responds:
"Yeah. But Morgan Weaver scores on the rebound."
Earlier this week, Wazzu head coach Jake Dickert and former QB Ryan Leaf criticized College GameDay for turning Oregon State-Washington State into a joke.
Pat McAfee appeared to respond this morning. And then some.
Objectively, that was one of
@WSUCougarsVB
’s easiest wins of the season. UW didn’t belong on the same floor with them.
Cruise control from start to finish for the not Power Five squad over the Big Ten team.

One thing I’m curious about. When given an opportunity, do WSU and OSU keep things classy?
Or do they shove every touchdown, basket, goal and so on down the throats of those leaving?
PSA to all new and returning WSU students: Football is not the only sport this fall.
Volleyball and soccer both play in the fall as well, and they are both perennial NCAA Tournament teams.
I encourage everyone to attend their games because they deserve just as much support.
Folks who are still students at WSU, do me a favor. When this pandemic ends and we’re allowed back in to arenas and stadiums?
Pack the ever-living hell out of Beasley Coliseum for these two teams. Please and thank you.
@SportsnetSpec
But when Vancouver folk complain about Kane's slewfoot on Hughes and Ryan's spear below the belt of Hoglander etc. it's some "institutional surrender" or whatever the phrasing was.
The phrase “what it means to be a Coug” gets used a lot so let me make things very clear.
This guy. This guy right here is what it means to be a Coug. A true legend in every way.
Story of the night: Two Oregon state fans came up and started talking smack to a bunch of Coug folk at Valhalla. Don’t think either realized that one of the people they were trying to yap at was Max Borghi. He made sure to let them know how many years in a row WSU has beat OSU.
COUGS WIN! WSU earns the road sweep of the Oregon schools for the first time since 2009. Rice goes for 21, including 14 in the second half. Wazzu has won five straight and 9 of the last 11. Best record in February of the Pac-12 era. Four Cougs in double figures.

Don’t go home early. You only get so many games in Martin, and as someone who’s final game as a student comes on Saturday, trust me when I say it comes up on you fast. Wait an extra day to go home and cheer loud and proud for the Cougs on Saturday!
Last home game of the year coming up this Saturday against Oregon State. Stick around, WSU Students, for our Senior Day! We need you in Martin Stadium and we need you to be LOUD!

A: Washington State University is quite literally an institution of higher education
B: Washington State University quite literally has a nuclear reactor facility.
The Pac-12 hasn’t made any attempt to update its Volleyball standings, but right now WSU stands alone atop the conference.
No big deal, just the youngest team in the conference in 1st place.
JUST IN | Gov. Jay Inslee to sign statewide emergency proclamation tomorrow to temporarily shut down restaurants, bars, and entertainment & recreational facilities.
Most Coug fans aren't mad at UW for leaving. I personally am not.
So why the frustration with UW?
1. The tons of UW fans (not all) that think is all really funny when a lot of people at WSU may lose jobs.
2. The patronizing, garbage statement UW released about the Apple Cup.
There are lots of Husky fans who don’t agree with the move to the Big Ten and that’s fine.
There are lots of cougar fans that are heartbroken and concerned for the future of their school, and want to take it out on Washington. And that’s fine too.
The options for UW were
One year ago today, I decided it was time to lose weight. I’m not sure what clicked this time, but something did, and 365 days later I’ve lost 60 pounds. This journey seemed impossible and by sharing this I hope I can inspire others to embark on difficult journeys themselves.
Only Brennan Jackson would pull up to a Coug game less than 48 hours after participating in the NFL Combine and do so wearing a custom shirt of his fiancé.
