Big thanks to @jacobgoldstein for having our CEO @jameshbuffi on his What's Your Problem podcast. It was a great overview on how we serve our MLB partners, and how we're ready to do the same in the NBA and beyond. https://t.co/acR5NIOTR7

Thanks @TreadAthletics ! Yeah, the way I think about this concept is - more separation between these body parts allows more space for more energy to be added in the sequence From a physics standpoint, torque applied over a larger angle does more work on the next body part
A different perspective on scap retraction from @jameshbuffi We're all familiar with hip/shoulder separation, but what about trunk/humerus separation or humerus/forearm separation? These are the other links in the whip that must also be able to dissociate for a clean sequence.

Are curveballs more dangerous than fastballs?🧐 Jesu- I mean Jimmy Buffi, summarizes his thoughts on the research. ✅In supination, the forearm muscles are less able to protect the elbow ✅However, with CBs, the absolute torques are lower than FBs @jameshbuffi

Velocity and Injury are definitely correlated, but I wouldn’t say Velocity causes Injury, as I think of them both as outputs of the system - and we have evidence that there Inputs to the system that might increase Velocity while decreasing Injury risk https://t.co/InPPHxU1SQ
In the discussion on pitching elbow injuries, here’s generally how i think about it: Inputs… Mechanics Strength and conditioning Workload Management Recovery time btwn pitches Sticky Stuff (Fatigue) Outputs… Pitch velocity Stress on the body (injury risk) (Fatigue)

Jimmy Buffi (@jameshbuffi) with @RebootMotion is next, compounded pretty nicely with the previous presentation on biomechanics. He pointed out that one basic complexity in biomechanics data is simply defining WHEN exactly foot plant and ball release happen, as both occur over a

Awesome article @dougherty_jesse, thank you for the opportunity to participate in this discussion! There are lots of nuances here, and this article did a great job of capturing them
With the Men's College World Series up and running in Omaha, I took a look at the pitch count question and gathered insight from Ben Brewster (@TreadAthletics), Jimmy Buffi (@RebootMotion), Stetson pitching coach Dan Latham and Josiah Gray. Story here:

Thank you so much for creating such an awesome experience! So great seeing old friends and making new ones!!
The 2022 Bridge Seminar was a weekend to remember. The star-studded cast killed it, and we all grew better as a result. We can’t thank our speakers, our sponsors, our staff, or our family members (new or old!) enough for such a hugely successful weekend. #GoDeacs
