Today we are calling for the #Oxford Lib Dem Congestion Charge to be scrapped. The majority of residents didn’t support it. Local businesses are worried about the impact. It’s time to scrap this draconian anti-motorist scheme.

I’m sorry but the Lib Dems in #Oxfordshire have lost the plot. As they cut homelessness beds, school transport routes, and are about hammer motorists with a congestion charge in Oxford, this is NOT what taxpayers money should be spent on!

When things get tough, walking away from your party isn’t brave, it’s easy. True courage is standing firm, working to make things better from within, and staying loyal to the people who elected you under a particular banner. Some might think the answer is to jump ship to Reform

It'll be great when traffic levels on this road halves. It's currently truely horrendous at rush hour, as this video shows. Its much better to divert it past people's houses, than these precious university buildings. Oxford residents need to know their place in this city.

As usual an informative article by @JeremyClarkson in today’s @thetimes especially highlighting how his mother was prescribed thalidomide during pregnancy, mine too. We were lucky many weren’t.

A missed chance today: my motion to reinstate a Cabinet Member for SEND Improvement (backed by Labour, Green, Reform & Independent councillors) was blocked by the Lib Dems — by just 2 votes. SEND in Oxfordshire still needs the political leadership it deserves. My speech below 👇

Today #Oxfordshire Lib Dem’s had the opportunity to reinstate a dedicated cabinet member for SEND services, a post they scrapped back in May, but despite cross party support for @JamesRPlumb motion they narrowly won the vote not to do this. Imagine if we had scrapped this post…

Keir Starmer’s opinion on tax evasion used to be crystal clear. But now it’s Angela Rayner who’s in the firing line, he’s changed his mind. He’s a weak leader with no backbone.

🥀📈 Labour-run Oxford City Council up to their eyes in debt - SHOCK! To think they want a unitary council that absorbs surrounding villages - NO THANKS! Council debt is now equivalent to £1746 per person UP by £423 since last year. #SameOldLabour

A council that went to great lengths to follow planning rules against a farmer who wanted to build a restaurant on his farm should now ensure the planning status of asylum hotels are equally correct. If they don’t, then it’s clear we have a two tier planning system in West
