Thank you @TammyTyrrell_ for your common sense, compassion & pragmatism re vaping. No one has as yet been able to explain why low risk vapes are severely restricted in Australia while deadly cigarettes are readily available. Completely nuts @SenatorJordon @AdamBandt @LivePippas
Common sense from independent Tasmanian Senator @TammyTyrrell_ about vaping It makes no sense to effectively ban #vaping when cigarettes are freely available - Vapes save lives - Bans lead to more smoking and black markets Via @themercurycomau

Did this chimpanzee not learn anything from yesterday’s enquiry? You were told that you are irrelevant and were pulled up on everything you said. You need to sit down and shut up.

Not quite enough! a modest addition to current tobacco control measures. #Vaping as an alternative way of accessing nicotine, works too! One third decline in smoking in NZ in past 2 years suggests Smokefree 2025 goal will be reached.@ASHNZ2025 a

@ProfEdwardsNZ @AlexWodak @VapingAlliance @NannyFreeState @GrimmGreen Transformation is following demand (not driving it). In the Middle East alone Bhutan, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi all have some form of vape ban. Public health has to take some share of blame in sustaining smoked tobacco markets in those regions.

Poor, middle-aged Australians are more likely to SMOKE and die from cancer – and the gap is widening in the absence of Tobacco harm reduction #vaping

A gap between rich and the poor in cancer deaths for middle-aged people is growing. Deaths from cancer have fallen over time, but less so in our poorest regions where there is less health care access.

It’s all in the results - one third decline in smoking in past 2 years in NZ - most likely a result of switching to vaping by cigarette smokers. @ASHNZ2025 @minhealthnz @drayeshaverrall
