Join our Victorian Lead Senate candidate for a town hall style twitter live as he drives back to Ballarat from a regional campaign event!
Share your experiences and ask questions - we'll look forward to seeing you there!
We missed our regular Friday night spot, but I'm a stationary (moving) target this afternoon on my drive back from Albury later this afternoon!
Today will be a town hall style discussion- I'd love to hear from you!
Set a reminder for my upcoming Space!
We strongly condemn the authoritarian and undemocratic actions of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Freezing the assets of protesters is inconsistent with anything even resembling a free society, and the use of the Emergencies Act to expand police powers is tyrannical.
We don't oppose the Voice due to clumsy wording or lack of detail, or even just because it won't actually improve outcomes for indigenous people.
We oppose it because it's morally wrong to have a race-based house of parliament.
#VoteNo
for equality before the law.
We're fed up with mandates. We're fed up with bans. We're fed up with woke symbolism. We're fed up with censorship. We're fed up with high taxes. We're fed up with inflation.
And we're fed up with the major parties.
It's well past time to defund the ABC & SBS. Let the them pay their own way through advertising, subscriptions and donations from their adoring fans.
See more savings measures in our debt & deficit policy:
We wholeheartedly reject the push by authoritarian health bureaucrats to reinstate mask mandates.
Mask mandates never should have been introduced, and we say:
#NeverAgain
.
“If you had Covid 3 weeks ago & recovered from that then fell off your bicycle & broke your arm and came to hospital, we would count that as a Covid admission…we’ve now reduced that back capture to 14 days.”
FFS 🤦🏽♀️
There are rumours circulating today that we will be deregistered and not be able to run at the next election. While there is some small chance we will have to change our name, we will certainly be registered and running candidates right across the country either way.
The WA Government have today announced that if a child tests positive at school "they and their family would have to isolate for 14 days, as would all of their class."
This is a lockdown by stealth. We must have the national strength to say: never lockdown again.
Our members and supporters asked us to coordinate with other anti-lockdown, anti-mandate parties - and we listened. We've just announced a tight two-for-two preference deal with
@UnitedAusParty
.
It is important to remember that it was not "the pandemic" or "the virus" that caused lockdowns, closing businesses, divided families, stunted education, job losses and disgraceful segregation. These were caused directly by the disproportionate government response.
In early 2020, the laptop class mocked us by saying "there are no libertarians in a pandemic." By mid 2021 we were enjoying unprecedented growth as more people realised we were right all along. The silver lining of authoritarian governments is the new libertarians they create.
The estimated cost of the Voice referendum is $450 million dollars - the same as an election. This government is choosing to continue with an ego driven vanity project at a time when ordinary Australians are worrying about how they will pay for their rent, groceries and bills.
Once Australia has returned to “old normal” we should have a Royal Commission into our COVID response, including politicians, senior public servants and police.
The primary cause of the rising cost of living is not low wage growth, Vladimir Putin or foreign investment.
It's the inflation caused by the alarmist COVID-19 response. Their lockdowns and "stimulus" are coming home to roost.
Both major parties are complicit - vote them out.
Opening statements of the debate.
Both major parties: We'll manage your money better than the other party.
LibDems: You can manage your own money better than either of them.
Never lockdown again.
Lockdowns should never have been introduced. Don’t think lockdowns are behind us simply because we are now in the warmer months. We need the national strength to say: never again.
It's well past time to end this taxpayer-funded propaganda. We have a policy to stop *all* funding to 'nanny state' advertising in our Freedom Manifesto.
@JaggerMickOZ
@LofayPeter
@zalisteggall
There’s 56,500 people at the MCG, sitting with no masks on. Yet. Go to the dunny, or the the bar for drinks, and they have to wear a mask! Are we really that fucking stupid?
Two good men from different parties met in Canberra today to organise a preference deal.
@CraigKellyMP
is your anti-covidmania candidate in the seat of Hughes.
@JohnRuddick2
is your anti-covidmania candidate for Senate in New South Wales.
The new close contact definition has rendered QR codes pointless. The right to privacy is crucial in a free society and needs to be returned to the people immediately.
Today is the anniversary of the Eureka rebellion – Australia’s finest example of its people standing up against government overreach. We are a revival of the Eureka Spirit – we swear by the Southern Cross to stand truly by each other and fight to defend our rights and liberties.
The courts have, for now, defended free speech, but the Online Safety Act needs be abolished, and all who supported it should be voted out at the next election.
Free speech is an essential human right.
Public broadcasting is an anachronism, hijacked by those with a vested interest in the expansion of government spending and power. It's past time to let the ABC & SBS pay their own way through advertising, subscriptions and donations from their adoring fans.
Many people go into politics to change the country through government. That's a mistake.
LibDems candidates go into politics to sweep authoritarian government away so the country can change itself.
An unvaccinated Victorian will soon be able order a beer from a vaccinated Victorian risk-free, but if they swap places that is apparently a serious public health risk.
Today we learned the virus knows which side of the bar you're standing. 🤷
"We ended up bringing QR codes back when we weren't even tracking and tracing. There was no science behind it at all, it had no utility."
@Dom_Perrottet
admits he increased business compliance costs and threatened millions of people with fines to get the media off his back.
Never forget that medical apartheid was impossible without the federal government willfully handing over everyone's private medical data to state governments.
We should never let
#ScoMo
and the federal government wash their hands of this. They were actively complicit.
Forced isolation of people who do not feel unwell is not a "let it rip" strategy. It barely even qualifies as "living with the virus". If you feel unwell you should limit your contact with others, but it's time to end this overzealous testing and isolation regime.
We are saying this now so there is no mistaking what will happen next.
On the 15th of October, the ALP, the Greens, and a big chunk of the Liberal party caucus, will say that the reason people voted No was misinformation.
We stand ready to fight censorship.
#votelibertarian
Uranium as a fuel is a million times more energy dense than coal. Across its energy generating life cycle uranium produces less than 1% of the toxic waste that solar panels do. The Liberal Democrats believe Australia should end its nuclear power prohibition.
Good riddance
@DanielAndrewsMP
- an entire generation of Victorians have been irreparably scarred by your leadership.
But you are just a manifestation of the modern State that relies on spin, distraction, and spending other peoples money to maintain control.
#votelibertarian
This month, the NSW Government banned plastic straws, cutlery, bowls, plates, takeaway food containers, cotton buds and microbeads.
If elected in March,
@JohnRuddick2
will stand up for capitalism and freedom by fighting to overturn this overreach - and make straws great again.
"Australia has one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world, and we spend those tax dollars on the stupidest things imaginable, like corporate welfare and subsidies."

You disgraceful hypocrite and shameless opportunist
@DanielAndrewsMP
.
Just a few weeks ago you were denouncing protests as "super spreader" events.
As for "equality" you have afforded no such luxury to the vaccine hesitant.
The "Trusted" Digital Identity Bill is a foreign import designed to increase central government control. Australians should be free to buy, sell and contract with each other without having to show their papers.
Both major parties increasingly run state election campaigns of 'we'll manage your money, your health and your children better than the other party'.
The LibDems think you can manage these things yourselves better than any politicians can.
Vote for yourselves. Vote LibDems.
From our Freedom Manifesto:
- No digital identity laws
- Stop the collection of metadata
- Abolish mass surveillance laws
- No cash bans
- Stop attacks on encryption
- Free Julian Assange!

With 65% of the vote counted in the NZ General Election, we would like to congratulate our Libertarian cousins in the
@actparty
on what looks set to be a dozen seats.
From a 1% Libertarian party to 10% and only 1% off the NZ Greens, this is our future.
The new WHO treaty represents a dangerous move towards centralised control. We're the party of decentraliation, and reject it outright.
"If anything, one of the great weakness of the Covid pandemic response was the uniform approach."

The main advantage of cryptocurrencies is their decentralised nature, which minimises the influence of government and corporate interests over voluntary exchange. Centralising it in the hands of the same central banking system that has already failed us defeats the purpose.
@StevePriceMedia
@AusTodayListnr
They never should have been excluded in the first place. Mandatory vaccinations and domestic vaccine passports have no place in a free society, and should never be tolerated.
The Liberal Democrats regard the right to own firearms for self-defence as fundamental to a free society.
We do not believe governments have a general right to limit the ownership of firearms.
The booster mandate has arrived. Our policy remains the same: mandatory vaccinations and vaccine passports are incompatible with a free society and should never be tolerated.

Did anyone know that
@AlboMP
grew up in public housing? First we're hearing of this. If only he'd mentioned every time every time someone put a microphone near him for the last ten years.
The Liberal Democrats have advocated for freedom-loving policies since 2001. We aim to cultivate a society of peace and prosperity based on individual freedom, personal responsibility, private property and voluntary association. See our Freedom Manifesto:
They locked everyone in their homes, took their jobs away, printed money and now inflation is at a 21 year high. It’s time vote this
#LibLabsDuopoly
out.

@Dom_Perrottet
- the lying bastard - is now going to require masks 😷 for
#unvaccinated
front of house hospitality staff AFTER December 15.
What happened to 'no more discrimination'?
Are you INCAPABLE of keeping a promise?
@_davidlimbrick
and
@TimQMLCNorthVic
have been fighting this horrible bill in parliament for almost 22 hours. We couldn't be more proud of our elected representatives today.
We cannot properly defeat covidmania without identifying its philosophical origin. Lockdowns are simply the Nanny State in its latest form. Since our inception the Liberal Democrats have always challenged the idea that government should make risk assessments for individuals.
Farmers are destroying crops while supermarket shelves remain empty. This is a direct result of alarmist and overzealous regulations on close contacts, testing and isolation.
People who do not feel unwell should not be prevented from being productive.
Allow Australians the ability to legally protect themselves. The Libertarian Party supports the right to self-defence and the legalisation of Pepper Spray
When you see teenagers excluded from society, locked out of shops, banned from sports and shunned at school, it's clear something isn't right.
The Pandemic has provided the perfect breeding ground for power mad politicians and it's important we investigate as a matter of urgency.
We oppose the (Trusted) Digital Identity Bill.
"No digital identity laws. Australians should be free to buy and sell and contract with each other, and free to move around and communicate with each other, without having to 'show their papers'"
This is not a COVID-19 Inquiry. This will be a COVID-19 Whitewash.
The worst excesses of the COVID response were carried out by State Governments going beyond COAG agreed steps.
This guarantees that the next crisis response will learn nothing and history will repeat.
The government's covid response did not come out of nowhere; it was the culmination of decades of risk socialisation. As a country we have foolishly tried to eliminate risk, or at best outsource it to technocrats. Real restoration will require addressing this problem.
#NeverAgain
Got a bit spicy in the Vic Parliament today when
@_davidlimbrick
asked the Employment Minister what employers should do if staff refuse to be vaccinated or hand over their private medical details.
