webp isn't for retention or storage, it's for distribution. The browser engine can load a webp about 3x faster than a png or jpg. Webp speeds up the sites you use and it's a shame that there isn't built in support for the damn thing in built in image viewers.

I have pretty strong hair and I dye it regularly. Went from purple to pink to blue over a couple of weeks, it's actually much easier if she's lucky and has a very good baseline for healthy hair.
