I do wonder if Ash (or Johanna Cherry) occasionally feel a pang of self-doubt at how a competitive authoritarianism and subversion of the judiciary occurred in Scotland. Westminster protected the Scottish institutions and nurtured natural talent which a mediocre Holyrood denied.
