BC CDC has been slowly walking back all reports and data sources that allowed historical analysis. The Situation Report was the last of the useful reports, and it's now only available as a snapshot I hate this province's lack of transparency with data.

This is another staggering comment from The Editors of @AnnalsofIM. They argue that because the @WHO disagreed with the CDC, and recommended surgical masks for COVID, that proves equipoise. They fail to mention the senior author set the @WHO policy.

There *are* people who have essentially no immune system functionality. Almost any infection can be lethal for them. Do you know how hard it is for them to avoid exposure to pathogens? Do people *really* think <6 months of what was essentially home-schooling is the same thing?

It takes weeks for immunity to build post vaccination and even once vaccinated you're still at risk of contracting and transmitting both flu and COVID. If looking to protect others this holiday season and beyond, wear a mask, ideally an N95 (and yes of course, get vaxxed too)

The CMOH owns this, because he didn’t do his job, or if he couldn’t do his job, resign. He’s a smart guy, and I think he likely knows that. I think these latest statements are just dishonesty and misdirection.

You all do understand that residents of China are people, right? Beloved sons, daughters, parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, friends to those within & outside China. An incredible scale of loss & grief is unfolding. Maybe #COVID attacks our humanity.

Hey Ontario, You know all those COVID deaths you haven't reported publicly? You do know they eventually show up in the PHAC COVID dataset and in the CVS-D registry, don't you? Now would be a good time to report them before your excess mortality for the last 6 months comes out.
