I've a meeting with Shopmobility shortly in Omagh, but I decided to get myself a quick treat first.

In Staines today hearing about the work Shopmobility do to improve the quality of life for those with limited mobility. Thanks to the team who took the time to brief me on their work and funding needs. 🙏🏻

It was lovely to get back to Shopmobility, a place I got to know well when I was wee and came here with my mam for shopping in Inverness. People don't tend to know this charity until they or a loved one needs it, but then it becomes a vital part of living life.

The new ShopMobility is open on Greyfriars Lane. The facility is even more accessible for people with limited mobility including a new Changing Places toilet. The move marks the transformation of the city centre through the City Centre South regeneration scheme. 👇

Sandwell Labour have withdrawn their plans to close Shopmobility in West Brom this year. They were set to close the service that helps the elderly & disabled. Thanks to pressure from the public & Conservative Councillors, they've now withdrawn their damaging plans.

Earlier today, I met with Stefan from Shopmobility to discuss the important service they provide, their positive impact on service users' daily lives, and the challenges they are facing with funding this vital service.

Great to pop by The Chimes to see the Shopmobility team deliver their present-wrapping service. They’ll be back in The Chimes on the 23rd between 10:00 and 19:00, and then at The Pavilions on Christmas Eve from 10:00 to 16:00. All proceeds go towards their amazing charity!
