Was just on @bbcradioulster talking about this story. There is no equivalency between kids being told they are wrong to express a view that being LGBT is wrong, and LGBT kids being told that being LGBT is wrong. https://t.co/aeMD0kXkW0

Nearly 1000 on the waiting list, some for over 7 years - Northern Ireland's trans communities have been abandoned by their healthcare services. Instead of further restricting this care, the Department of Health should be delivering it. https://t.co/Wr1wOT8oBR?

The decision to ban puberty blockers was made without consultation with trans youth, and now @niexecutive are refusing to share the advice that justified it. The First Ministers have questions to answer, but are choosing to keep their heads in the sand. https://t.co/TLVsPMPwel

The Programme for Government, published today, is 88 pages long, and mentions LGBTQIA+ communities 0 times. If this Executive is truly going to work for all the people of NI, they should start by acknowledging our diversity and the need for progress on rights and equality.
We're still waiting to see what the PfG contains, and we will be responding to the upcoming consultation to raise issues for LGBTQIA+ communities. We are concerned that, once again, this will be a PfG that commits to no meaningful advancements in the rights of LGBTQIA+ people.

An LGBTQIA+ Strategy has been promised since 2007, and once again appears to have fallen off the agenda. Alongside the other Social Strategies, it is essential that the LGBTQIA+ Strategy is completed and implemented, delivering improvements across society for LGBTQIA+ people.

We welcome agreement on a Programme for Government, and particularly signing off the Ending Violence Against Women & Girls Strategy. We are, however, disappointed that no mention was made of the Social Strategies, including the LGBTQIA+ Strategy.

We're disappointed for our colleagues in Scotland that, once again, the can is being kicked down the road on banning conversion practices. We need a coordinated approach across UK and Ireland to address these harmful practices - but that's no excuse for not progressing a ban.
We are disappointed to see no firm commitment to a timeline for legislating on Conversion Practices in Scotland in today’s Programme for Government.
