Had a lovely time answering questions from @MuirtownP today, from banning vaping and what I do for lunch in Parliament, to why Cyndaquil is indisputably the best starter (sorry, boys). Hope it helps with political studies! @1edmountain they asked me your Q, as requested ๐

Good news! 740,000 undergraduate students have benefitted from free education since your SNP Scottish Government abolished tuition fees. Students south of the border will soon have to pay ยฃ9,535 a year. Youโre better off with the SNP. ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

My primary concern is that women and children in Inverness and the surrounding areas can continue to access this vital refuge. I will continue to work on this regardless, but please feel free to reach out if you want more information or would like help seeking support.

I am grateful to those who reached out about Inverness Women's Aid funding. Like many of you, I know intimately how vital these services are. On Monday, I spoke with IWA and wrote to the Highland Council, councillor colleagues, & the Scottish Government to see what can be done.

Energy bills are hitting folk hard, and I know this is a constant source of stress for many. The SNP is pursuing a social tariff to help those most vulnerable to peaks in prices - I asked the First Minister for an update ๐

I will follow this up with the Minister and work with colleagues to ensure the child is always at the heart of contact decisions.

One of my most difficult cases: a brave wee girl came forward to share that she had been abused, but her mother still had to let her spend unsupervised time with the alleged abuser. I asked the Minister for Victims about this today (1/2)

In the meantime, the @ScottishSPCA has some great advice on keeping pets as happy and calm as possible tonight: https://t.co/IC1AS5g0vM And @CatsProtection has some feline-specific info:

The Fireworks Act could prevent a lot of distress and harm to animals, if government brought forward restrictions - per calls from animal welfare charities. I asked the First Minister about this and will follow up with written correspondence to keep making the case. ๐ฑ ๐

I can assure Douglas Alexander that folks working in the whisky industry here in Speyside, have warmly welcomed the First Ministerโs leadership and action on US tariffs.
Sec of State for Scotland, Douglas Alexander, has accused John Swinney of seeking โphoto opsโ with Donald Trump while the UKG does the โhard yardsโ on tackling US tariffs on whisky - the FM responded today saying Alexander is the โonly person on the planetโ moaning about it @LBC

๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟThank you to @EmmaRoddickSNP for raising our concerns for animals to the First Minister yesterday. ๐We are urging @scotgov to deliver on the legislation to reduce the suffering for animals, as in the meantime, animals continue to suffer from the relentless noise of fireworks.

@GillianMSP This is great progress; ensuring local folk can see real benefit and take ownership of infrastructure, rather than being treated simply as hosts. The SNP Government taking a lead on this step forward is brilliant news. See the full Q&A:
