Agree. It's important to #AskforaDoctor & #KnowTheDifference. A #PhysicianAssociate is NOT a qualified doctor, nor is an #AnaesthesiaAssociate. Beware & check if someone is referred to as "one of the medics" because that does not necessarily mean they are a qualified doctor.

🔴Dear Public, This is what Doctors go through to become Registrars/Consultants looking after critically unwell/stable patients in primary and secondary care. ⭕️I kid you not, Physician Associates are convinced they are “generalist specialists” with a 2-year MSc degree.

So why is money being spent on AAs when we actually need real anaesthetists and training places are not expanded? Trainees also say AAs impede access to training. This is an insane situation in a country that has such massive elective surgery waiting lists.
