My OB, during labor with baby 1, screamed at me to stop complaining even tho the epi only worked on 1/2 of me and my tailbone was breaking and I was tearing 4 degrees. Went with midwife for baby 2. Infinitely better.

He died of a heart attack at 52? My uncle died of a heart attack at 55. 40 years ago. My grandfather died of a heart attack at 65. In the 1980s. My ex-husband‘s side of the family has had numerous people died of heart attacks in their 50s. This isn’t new.

A bigger issue is why do rely so much on schools as a safety net? Why do we not have supports in place at home? As a teacher and a parent, I have grave concerns about in-school learning and I looked at the fact that schools are now closed in Germany as a caution.

Midwifery needs to be licensed in the same way as any other medical professional. Here in Washington state USA we have a great system and I midwives are fantastic. Very safe. and the care you get pre-and post natal is amazing.

This is my beautiful cousin Peggy. She died at age 34 from cervical cancer, four months after a clean pap. This is a picture of her in the mid-1980s. She died in 1995. She would be alive today if she had had the HPV vaccine. She was as sweet as she was beautiful and I miss her.
