Reasons I hate going to the CBD
1. I come home with a headache
2. It's overcrowded
3. It's noisy
4. Too many scents in the air
5. Insecurity
6. Careless driving, esp buses
7. ‘madam we ni size yangu’
8. People walking slowly infront
9. Unwarranted holding my hands ‘madam nails’
Growing up, my mum always told me to refrain from going to people's houses unless I was sure of their position in my life. I was wrong to think she was being problematic and insecure, but now, I see it! I see it all. She was right!
I need some more friends in Kiambu/Nairobi county who like to hangout, with very minimal to no alcohol. People who talk about life, development, opportunities, healthy relationships and growth, love games and fun while leading a very private life while celebrating each other.
Wealthy wife and mom who loves charity and humanitarian work, living in an old money mansion in the countryside with lots of art pieces, driving a selection of fully tinted luxury vehicles, a ranch with several horses,rabbits, chicken, cows etc and a farm by a river/lake.

on the Limuru Road bypass has killed my friend😭🕊️💔. My friend is gone!!! Why do we have cars using the wrong sides but no indication of road maintenance ongoing??? Why is there no single bridge on this bypass??
Manifesting a remote job in the World Health Organization,more policy and advocacy work. Dear universe, also update my vehicle status to LX570H, a beach house and more peace, health and wealth.
Two weeks ago, I told my family that I wanted to do life a fresh. They gave me all the support they could, I'm grateful. Today I write this, 500km+ away from home! New environment, new home, new organization, new motivation and this is really what I needed.❤️
It's my birthday!
This birthday also brought a “We are pleased to inform you.”😍🥳
I'm not sure which celebration should go first, but there's definitely a lot of celebration going on in here🎉💐.
Happy birthday to me and cheers to life❤️.
I will be a safe space for my children.
I will want them to call me when they're hurt, when they've made mistakes. I will teach them honesty, bcz even in punishment I will be kind and gracious to them. I will not yell at them,tell anyone their business that they've not approved.
You ever looked at your own CV and be like, “Damn girl! You did all that?” It may not have felt great when doing it but looking back, that was awesome.😄Keep going young lady!
@_MsMuriithi
As someone who takes care of my family's kids, I have found treating them equally has taught them brotherhood and caring for each other. They tell me whatever bothers them, and that way I can guarantee their safety around me. They also get to just love and appreciate you.

I just wanna say this very loudly here, I am so proud of myself❤️. I have pulled myself out of impossible situations this year! Some with tears, some with resilience but for what it's worth, it's been a growing year.
Que Sera Sera!
You are human before anything else. Before your profession, your social status, health status, relationship status etc. And humans have faults, they have shortcomings, strengths and potential.Before you beat yourself up so hard,allow yourself to be human, feel human and do human.
@Elainesoya
😂😂😂go into any Kenyan restaurant, check directions, check menu and ask them if they have any Italian meal. They definitely don't have, 😂your problem solved!
@DesOmar2
I would've been sarcastic and gone like, oh dear soulmate, I forgot to wait for you. Your ‘crash’ on me is lifesaving, it is what I love for. 🤣🤣
I wanna gift someone something handmade by me. A jar with sticky notes containing positive messages in different colours, or a decorated wine bottle with a hanging message, or a painting done by me, or a wooden wall hanging with a mirror at the centre...huh🤔
I've always dreamt of having a space where people can share their stories of inspiration, of hope. all this is in a bid to promote mental health awareness and to give voices to those who've been unheard. Yesterday I took the first step at it, by creating my first-ever podcast.
I've been dieting for the past eight months. No junk foods,no sugary drinks,enough sleep,healthy smoothies and lots of hot water. My body is doing me so much justice right now, my skin is flawless😍. I'm in love with my happy weight🥵.
Wueh, hii app itabidi tumekulisha watu bombastic side eye!! Unless it is professional, I do not exist, I do not go for events and I'm not a real person. I'm a theory, infact I'm hypothetical. I'm a ghost!!🙄
I have zero regrets in life. There are better decisions I would have made, there are situations I would have done better, but I didn't. And that's it! Whatever happened happened, I learned what I learned and life continues. I am okay with what my life is, as I work to improve.
Heal!
Heal!
Anger and resentment can really hold you back. Heal so you can progress, heal so you can love and be loved, heal so you can be comfortable with yourself and others. Just work on your healing. Life becomes of more value when you heal/are healing.
If I were to be honest, I truly struggle asking anyone for help.I know my people come to me for help, and tell me how they will support me through anything, but asking feels burdensome for me. I just don't like bothering people, even simple tasks like passing the salt.🌝
I am currently looking for opportunities in the humanitarian field. I would appreciate any leads to mental health, human rights, and disability-related opportunities. Help a sister out kindly. Thanks in advance.😊
Dear 20-something year old African first born daughter living in Kenya, here to send you love, hugs and prayers.
I know figuring everything out may seem impossible, but learn from those who did it. You too can do it. ❤️
I truly wasn't happy with some comments from the post by
@Osama_otero
yesterday. Esp when someone said that he could be having a psychotic episode. Why do we like to blame mental illness for crime? Why do we like to stigmatize mentally ill people as violent and ungovernable?
When our blessings come, may we still have the enthusiasm for them. May we not get so tired and worked up praying and working that we forget to smile when they arrive. May the fears and struggles of life appear to us as fast passing clouds, so that we will hope for better days.

The world today is so unsafe, communicating with your parent that you won't be coming home is necessary to ensure they're also at peace when you are away, give them a call and tell them you are safe.Say where you are and who you are with,if possible leave a pin location for them.
What if the reason you can't be truly happy is because you seek perfection; in yourself, in life, in your choices, in other people too. What if the secret to ultimate joy is to let go of perfectionism and embrace life in it's autonomy, in people, relationships, ourselves?🤔
Was talking to my mentor abt an organization that approached me to work for them stating Ksh X as salary. She looked at me and said, “That salary is good for any other person, but the Grace I know, and the value and work she brings, that's too little. Go renegotiate.” I ♥️ her!
You probably didn't know I work behind the scenes in organizing MH events,marketing and publicity of organizations and health related events. I appreciate this recognition

To working with more brands next year🥂.
Don't feel threatened by things people post on social media. In real life people are broke, under the filters we have unclear skin,some are doing things they aren't proud of,we have loans and you know what?That's the real life beyond fake social media standards. Be you proudly🌹!
Life after quitting a toxic job has been so amazing. My skin is glowing,I'm well paid 3X better WFH, my brand is doing great,body is on check,back to Global mental health work,established dope partnerships,in love with someone's son!
So much peace! I thank God!

For people who have a genetic predisposition to Psychosis, drugs may trigger Psychosis. Understanding family history of mental illness Is important to know if one is already at risk of it. Then there are those who get drug induced psychosis as a result of long time abuse.
Tonight,we will be hosted by

I think he's just calm, composed and in charge of the situation. I mean, he is not letting himself be in the middle of all the drama. Also he knows how to separate his issues, common characteristic in Sapiosexuals.
I really like and adore straight-up people. People who can communicate. You're angry? Say it! If you feel I did sth wrong, tell me. I believe in working things out and behaviors like ghosting, ignoring a looming problem, shouting, and screaming are not behaviors I can tolerate.
My mentor told me “A wise man sits and watches first before acting. He is slow to making decisions and is never in a rush to do anything. His silence is his power and nobody ever truly knows how deep his waters run.He's unpredictable and no one knows what to expect from him.”
To all strong men who struggled their way through tough times, I know you are better because you did not give up. I understand the weight you carry and I salute you for the effort it takes to be the man you are. This is my tribute to you.
I'm entering a phase of abundance in my life. Abundance of health, wealth, knowledge, happiness and life. I'm ready for it all and may the universe align in favor of me❤️.

I'm here smiling sheepishly because I got into this mall in Nyali and the guards at the entrance did the salute sign because I look stunning. But I looked behind to see who they were saluting, bcz I didn't think it was me only for the people behind me to also do the same. Yoh!!😂
The only person that is your competition is yourself. If you can work on improving your values, your knowledge, motivation, virtues, self esteem and learn your worth, you'll be a much better person to yourself with every passing day, and that's what matters.❤️
I will be a parent who respects my children's emotions and decisions. I will listen to them without judgement. I'll be kind to them. They'll grow with love. They'll know they have a friend in me they can call even when in a mess. I will spend time with them,so help me God.🙏
Avoid jumping on any and every opportunities that come your way. Set your goals, assess the opportunities around you and how they align with those goals. Be selective what kind of things you allow in your life, it will save you. A LOT!!

🤔😂😂time for her to open a restaurant now, and do deliveries. Because if she can be consistent like that, she can run a whole business 😂
Today I lost one of my fav grannies😭. My heart is broken beyond tears, all I can say is, may her soul find rest❤️. As King Kaka said, if we must accept life, then we must accept death! God! that woman was so kind though😭.
On boundaries today, normalize saying “your lack of planning does not equate to an urgency on my side.” Of course with all due respect. You don't have to be pushed everywhere.
The conversation on mental health has gradually changed from just addressing illnesses, to addressing cross cutting issues and social determinants of those illnesses. It goes without say, that the basic human rights are the beholders of these determinants and are the way forward.
May favour locate me today.
May Grace be my shield, every day of my life.
May love choose me.
May life bless me in all it's will.
May I live to tell of the goodness of God with every breath I take.

I was just minding my business in Nyali and this school bus stopped where I was. Some kids peeping outside told me “Dada, wewe ni mrembo.” I blushed😅. I got to where I was going and this other little girl assembled some flowers for me and oh my heart!🥺Kids❤️
May the God of firstborns grant them peace and joy, serenity and favour... May all their tears get wiped away, and may they receive the love they give to everyone but themselves. May their burdens be lifted, and may they be reminded that they deserve happiness and love. 🙏
My friends are making me feel like I just wanna attend a fun event in school uniform and just remind myself of the old good days. And dance to the Hot Grabbas😅 and write calligraphed letters🤣🤣.
I'm happy to have hosted this session with Natalie from

and a global team of mental health advocates where we got to discuss the role of young people in the changing dynamics of mental health, human rights, and youth. All young people are the leaders of today, not tomorrow
Dear ladies, refrain from calling your man names and insulting him. If you really wanna be heard, talk to him as humanly as possible. Gossip, insult, badmouthing him creates an unhealthy relationship for you. If it's not working, walk out calmly, protect your dignity😭.
@SandraTengi
It's a secure sense of belonging. Which then helps you develop a positive self image, hence you are self esteemed. Knowing also that you have a fall back to support system,this helps you go through life with a lot of confidence.
There are people among us who are struggling to quit addiction. The reliance that every weekend is a ‘drinks’ weekend. Here's a gentle reminder for them to keep going. Get an alternative positive coping mechanism.This long weekend you can

May we be able to explore the deepest parts of us.May we live and exploit our full potential.May we heal from our hurt so we don't hurt ourselves further or hurt others.May we be able to celebrate our baby steps and learn from our mistakes.May grace be our path and love our light
My grandma has a Bible trivia on Thursday. They will be competing on the miracles of Elijah and Elisha, and she asked me to write all of the miracles down for her in Kikuyu. I really hope she wins because, I have never read this much Kikuyu in a day.I have read 1&2 Kings wholly!
This whole issue on Crazy Kennar is just a reminder that a lot of Kenyans don't take mental health seriously. This has propagated stigma and also makes it hard for people to reach out and seek help. Making fun of someone who is already going through a crisis is distasteful.🙄
Told my old man my dream and what I aspire to achieve and this man just gave me a whole house for the startup and offered to pay all my licenses and taxes for a year till I'm well footed😭😭. Yoooh, looks like I'm not as independent as I thought, I'm so excited🥹.

are unanimously sending out messages of kindness, warmth and understanding. My message is learn to be more expressive. You're not wrong for feeling, get to discuss them with a support person and they become less overwhelming.
Used my not so busy morning to study a course on how to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental illness. This I take so seriously as it helps me in my work as a psychologist to offer meaningful and effective support to my clients, as well as my society.
Every single ounce of strength you need to move forward is within you. Sometimes life happens and you can not seem to find your light, but somehow you always end up figuring it out.
That's bcz strength isn't a lake, it's a river!
It flows bit by bit, with new energy everyday.
Everyone is fighting a battle you have no idea about, struggling with something they will probably never tell you. Be kind to everyone, the world needs more kind people. Bless you😊.
