Our recent @NatureClimate paper w @tkazlou & @acherp argues there is little hope #ccs can grow fast enough for 1.5°C target. The 2°C target is realistic only if CCS failures drop & CCS eventually grows as fast as mainstream energy technologies.

My 10-year old Nissan Leaf, from the first generation of EVs, has had a new battery and a new lease of life. The old battery will have a nice retirement, powering and heating my home with clean and cheap electricity. Battery technology is a game changer in so many ways.

@IEA projects collapse of solar PV installs beyond 2035 in new #WEO https://t.co/coRIMoj60r. The rational of this collapse remains unclear. Why the lowest cost electricity shall collapse? ... pushed by steeply falling battery prices & needs for e-fuels? @AukeHoekstra @mzjacobson
