It takes a lot to make a magazine but there'd be no magazine without the people writing for it - many of whom will be self-employed, and maybe that's why they're last in line. Regardless, we deserve to be treated with respect - and not to feel like we're working for free. 🙃
RSUK just an absolute joke ofc but magazines in the uk have seen writers as the least important part of the process for decades. commercial teams, photographers, stylists, publishers, events teams etc all compensated richly while writers are out here scrapping about for peanuts
