Hello from The Ogg Monster in honour of 24 years of The Office.

I met John Cleese for the first time backstage at the wonderful 'Fawlty Towers: The Play' and was finally able to thank him for inspiring a fellow tall guy from the West Country (he was born in Weston-super-Mare) to pursue a career in comedy.

Whenever I’m asked to name my comedy influences, John Cleese is always high on the list. As a teenager, I dissected Monty Python and Fawlty Towers scripts to see how they worked.

I make my own headlines.

Five years ago, we were all at home reenacting The Princess Bride to avoid losing the plot.

In honour of #Pulp’s triumphant return to the #Glastonbury Festival tonight, here they are in 1994 with a young Stephen Merchant providing backing vocals from the crowd.

Years ago I won a prestigious Peabody award for The Office but wasn’t able to attend the ceremony, so I’m honored to finally make it this year, and present awards to Baby Reindeer and Mr Bates vs The Post Office. Congratulations to all of the winners. #PeabodyAwards
