The cucurbits have been enjoying the heat and put on lots more growth over the weekend. A nice harvest to start the week #cucurbit #squash #heatwave #CORNWALL #Summer2022

Great to see the chickpeas fruiting in the Indian allotment of our Global Gardens. Gives you a whole new appreciation for a tin of chickpeas as each pod usually only has 1 pea in it! #chickpea #growyourown #allotment #India #gardens #plants

I remember being wowed by this little geophyte, Babiana rubrocyanea, whilst on a study tour in South Africa and am delighted to see it now flowering in our veld. Unfortunately this plant has been assessed as endangered in its natural lowland renosterveld habitat @EdenProject

Crab apples, brilliant tree for the orchard, they have a long flowering period and are a compatible pollinating partner with most other apple trees. Also excellent for wildlife, providing an early supply of nectar and pollen for insects, the fruit is enjoyed by birds @EdenProject

Love the fluffy effect the long stamens on the flowers of Myrtus communis create. This Mediterranean scented shrub is thriving in our outdoor gardens. It has medicinal properties which include alleviating sinusitis, bronchitis and colds @EdenProject #myrtus #shrubs #flowers

We’ve had a great time at the Cornwall Garden Society’s spring show, presenting our apprentices show garden, designed as a primary school garden with the majority of materials recycled and plants lifted and divided from our outdoor gardens @EdenProject #apprentice #CGS

Delighted to see this beautiful South African Heath, Erica verticillata, thriving in our Veld garden. Sadly this species has become extinct in the wild but thanks to conservation programs has been reintroduced back to its native habitat. @edenproject #EricaGCC #conservation
