Am interested in #evolution and ecology, particularly #plant #evolution. I have a #garden where all the #plants are very related to one's with a #fossil record that predates the K-Pg boundary (the event that killed the non-avian Dinosaurs). #MyHandleExplained.

De-extinctifying something is a pretty special feeling, de-extinctifying something in your home country (#Wales) is even more so, writing about it for @Love_plants 100th issue of their ‘Plantlife’ members magazine was quite emotional!.
Great article on the recent re-introduction of Rosy Saxifrage to Eryri in the current edition of Plantlife magazine. It goes to show, there is always hope. Well done @fossilplants 👏👏

Did you also know that this belief stems from that they were fermented in water making the water safe to drink. This practice reduced the spread of diseases like dysentry. Here in Wales Rowan water was called Diod Criafol. The natural yeasts on the fruit did the fermentation.
