After over 20 years, our nutmeg tree has produced fruit 😲🌳. They are now ripe, as you can see from the vivid red covering that forms a lattice around the nutmeg seed. The seed is used to make nutmeg and the lattice to make mace.

We’ve just welcomed three ancient olive trees into our Med Biome, giving them a new home after they were removed to make way for younger trees in Spain and Portugal. The giant evergreens are estimated to be up to 1,500 years old!
