Presumed extinct species rediscovered in Cape Town ahead of #EarthshotCapeTown week! Our brilliant @CityofCT conservationists recently rediscovered Cotula myriophylloides (the salt pan daisy) in @CapeTown. This critically endangered species was presumed extinct in @CapeTown

I agree. We need the polls to be more accurate. I remember the SRF polling ActionSA at 2% and actually all they ended up getting in the election was 1.2%.

Remember this poll by the DA's friends in the Social Research Foundation that put the DA at 31% before the 2024 elections where the DA got 20%? Turns out this latest poll is also conducted by the same Social Research Foundation... We need regulated polling...

Once Rome outgrew its ability to feed itself, its lack of a natural harbour became a big problem. Trajan’s hexagon was the eventual solution. Set inland to protect from storms and connected to the Tiber by canal, it served the city for 500 years.

Very sad that Brutus, the original alpha male of the Rondevlei Hippo pod, has passed away. At the very ripe old age of (at least) 47. Hippopotamus are ecosystem engineers - they’ve managed invasive grasses and are a vital part of the Rondevlei ecosystem. The reintroduction of

AMAZING: When forced to apply their minds, Govt can actually make a surplus in tax collections and save misspent funds, instead of raising VAT by 2%, which they had intended to do just 8-months ago. If the ANC still had a 50% majority in Parliament, they would have forged ahead

MUST READ: The 2025 #MTBPS proves we didn’t need that 2% VAT hike after all. Revenue is up. Debt is stabilising. @TreasuryRSA is saving on interest costs. Now comes the real test: keeping corruption from undoing the gains. https://t.co/dGJdk9J2ng

The City’s ‘Don’t be a Creep’ campaign intends to remind motorists not to enter a signalised intersection unless they can move safely through it while the signal is green. Creeping into an intersection and blocking it is a contravention of the National Road Traffic Act.
