There are so many roads like this in Mumbai. They are clearly wide enough for three proper lanes but for some reason we paint two massive ones instead. Traffic builds up for no reason, people squeeze in a third lane anyway and the whole thing turns into chaos. It is such a stupid

Keir Starmer’s in Mumbai, and suddenly the roads are painted, markings redone, tents cleared, everything spotless. Crazy how the city cleans up overnight - just not for the people who actually live here.

Good that public outrage fixed the clock tower. But spending crores on it while the area has no footpaths, no trees, no road markings, trash everywhere is that’s the real outrage. Basic urban infrastructure is completely ignored, yet there’s always money for gimmicks.

Nothing says civic pride like blocking the city view with a giant flex of… yourself.

Not everything has to be reduced to Congress vs BJP. The point is simple: public infrastructure should be built to last. The Sea Link shows it’s possible, we should demand that level of quality across all new projects.

16 years on, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link still has not a single pothole, patch or bad surface. That’s how public infrastructure should age.

This new Satguru building on Perry Road is a stunner. Finally, something that breaks the monotony of glass boxes and beige towers.

And it’s not just Lotus Jetty. These patchwork scars are everywhere across the Coastal Road. How is this acceptable on a project that cost taxpayers thousands of crores???

This is dangerous and ugly. Two wheelers can skid in the rain and cars swerve to avoid the ridge. A billion dollar road cannot have gully repair patchwork. Fix this immediately.
