We’re deploying 106 receivers in the inner Oslofjord for the NMBU cod project with @OceanTracking . This study tracks migration and movement shifts in two cod ecotypes and assessing habitat changes. Using Thelma and Innovation equipment, an open protocol is key to the project!

We are witnessing a very sad moment in American history. The President of the United States is aligning himself with the dictator of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to undermine the independence of Ukraine and its democracy. Here are my thoughts:

The role of exploratory behavior (and it’s genetic basis) in the adaptive radiation of cichlid fishes in Lake. See our latest work in @ScienceMagazine. Congrats to all including @emiliapsantos @_Bethan_Clark @m_matschiner @TschoppLab @millanek1 @WSalzburger @UniBasel_en
About 250 cichlid fish species have evolved in Lake Tanganyika in less than 10 million years. Researchers in Science have linked exploratory behavior to niche adaptation in these fish and identified a genetic variant with a strong effect on the behavior. https://t.co/3ih4OsqxIU

Congrats to Fred Clota for this paper showing that manipulation of temperature after 90 dph can affect sex ratio in European sea bass. Contrary to earlier temperature shifts where warm induces males, in this case warm induces females! https://t.co/a9H2ZqnR30
