I agree primaries are good for vetting candidates, etc. But this makes absolutely no sense. The Texas Democratic primary electorate is extremely different from its general electorate. Many candidates who have lost primaries would have been stronger general election candidates.
A candidate that cannot beat Jasmine Crockett in a primary is a candidate who cannot flip Texas blue. Primaries are good, iron sharpens iron. Let’s see what the Texas dems are made of.
