For those of us who are at peak levels of brown adipose tissue. A very nice basic video on BAT by @voxdotcom with a cameo by @acypess.

Quick reminder: the end of the year/Dec is probably one of the worst times to submit a manuscript. Editors are overwhelmed and reviewers are all too busy. Christmas comes, then New Years, then Lunar New Year. Try Jan/Feb when everyone is fresh & desk piles have been cleared.

No one can deny there are incredibly useful metabolomic & lipidomic datasets generated every year. But what are the hurdles to sharing and re-using this data?. @gjpattij & @EthanStancliff2. have a Comment in @NatureCellBio with some great tips.

It was a great team cancer-genetics-metabolism reunion in the London office with @mvicaracal @MT_Genetics & @BarbMarte. Lots of strategizing for 2023 and chilling with the London @nature editors. Can’t wait to come back!

It was definitely the year of the GATOR!🐊 . @LoewithLab & @structureltp present in @nature a cryoEM structure of the yeast SEA complex (ancestral GATOTR1 & 2), joining the mammalian GATOR1 (@MolecularCell) and GATOR2 (@nature) published this year.
