Hindsight is always 20/20 and today’s strategy call was a bit poor and looks like @McLarenF1 may have to pick a side in Abu Dhabi if they don’t want Max to nick the title.

Brilliant early anniversary night out with @bairdy247 seeing @NeilDelamere do his thing at the stand in Edinburgh tonight. Brilliant night as always. 2nd row though, not allowed in the 1st row 😆😂

Can hear the gentle whirr of the combine harvesters nearby working in the dark. Sadly it seems their efforts may not be particularly lucrative 😢
It looks like this year’s harvest will be catastrophic. That should be a worry for anyone who eats food. If a disaster on this scale had befallen any other industry, there would be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Today is one of those days where your best laid tech redundancy plans work as they should. Power cut at the Forth Valley Royal Hospital meant all the @RadioRoyal systems eventually failed. DAB failed over to a cloud instance of @BroadcastRad Myriad with minimal downtime 🥳

But whilst gas sets the marginal price for the entire grid which it does most of the time, prices will stay high. We need to break the link between gas and electricity pricing somehow.
Wind power has overtaken gas as Britain’s biggest source of electricity. This is a huge moment in our journey away from energy insecurity and towards clean homegrown power. https://t.co/v1uAxnsFD1

Good to see @OctopusEnergy have added Indra chargers to Intelligent Octopus Go. The VW integration was OK but if the cars internet connection failed you ended up with no charge - which happened a few times. Hopefully controlling the charger is much more reliable 🪫🔋😊

Just go and add this now to your podcast playlist. It’s also the episode where I get an associate producer credit for joining in with the kickstarter project that made it possible 😍 🚀
#16Sunsets The second episode of our new podcast about the space shuttle era is out today. Episode 2: Secret War.

This is bonkers.
@TomCayman @g__j The way we currently pay for energy is at the marginal price - which is as if easyJet sold all seats at the price paid by the highest paying passenger.

I dare say I’ll be mentioning @16Sunsets @Kevin_Fong and my “Associate Producer” credit on the radio over the next few weeks as the series “rolls out” of the VAB.

Been looking forward to this for a while now. 13 minutes to the moon about the Apollo program was an amazing podcast. The same team now bring us the story of the Space Shuttle.

Sunday night treat for @bairdy247 @eilidharthur and I. Just us, Tim Peak and a couple of thousand friends.
Loving being in Scotland with my show and I couldn’t do it without these two incredibly hard working guys. It was a fantastic audience at the @SECGlasgow on Friday. Tonight it’s the @edinplayhouse , UK’s largest capacity working theatre …. no pressure!! The Q&As has been a

Fair bit of wind overnight and the Octopus Agile went negative, which means the car battery is a lot fuller that it was. The eye watering peak times that have been well over 40p per kWh recently are fortunately being offset by the lows.

Spent 2 decades managing stock for a supermarket. If you asked in the morning I might have checked, mostly as I had to do it anyway. In the afternoon? Forget it, I’d already checked every single out of stock we thought we should have had already.
Ex-retail staff. Trust me, retail staff already know whether or not they have something you're looking for "in the back". So if you refuse to believe them & insist they check anyway, they will just stand in the back having a break from you for 2 minutes, not looking for the item.
