One unfortunate side effect of the Epstein case is that it is now possible to make any man look like a pervert by simply showing them in a photograph with female faces redacted.

All those great MAD MEN ad lessons from the ‘40s and ‘50s… STILL APPLY! On TWiST, @Jason welcomes marketing guru @TheSamParr from @MyFirstMilPod, to teach us the lost art of copywriting. And it turns out… Don Draper basically had it right all along. In the ‘30s, ‘40s, and

@rorysutherland It will take jobs, but it will also create the man-made goods those jobs created, more cheaply. So we will still be able to afford them, right? That would be true, but land is not a man-made good. Rent will still be due. The problem is not AI, it's that we are not georgists.

For the LOLs, can someone ring them both and connect them on a three-way call?
no way this isn't killing call centers PolyAI just got Marriott, Caesar's Palace, and Gordon Ramsay's restaurants to fire their phone staff.. this AI handles every call and you literally can't tell it's not human here's how it works:

numeric "goal displacement" "Goal displacement is a different diagnosis [than Goodhart's law] that is being made on a different patient. The problem is not in the metric but in the organizational form that needs metrics to function" cc @rorysutherland
