Last night, I was lucky enough to welcome a family of 5 to
#manchester
from
#Afghanistan
the youngest being 3 months old.
Arriving with just the clothes on there back, we flew to
@Tesco
to kit them out.
Knowing this interpreter is safe & seeing his relief to be here was unreal!

In 2009 our CO at the time wrote to every man wounded under his command & swore we’d be looked after & the regiment would stand by us...
Today 10yrs on I needed something sorting & in less than 12 hours The Rifles had it squared & a plan going forth!

Looks like a mass grave? 😬 I’ve seen a fair few in my time across various conflict zones. Never one like this though! What it does look like is a group of men where the suicide bomb threat is high so have been stripped to underwear as every army in the world would do!
